Waheed Zafar Qasmi is a Qāri' (one who can recite Qur'an with proper rules of tajwid) from Pakistan. He is also a naat khawan. He can recite naat in Urdu and Arabic.
Background
Waheed Zafar Qasmi started reciting Qur'an at the age of 6 or 7. By the age of 9, he memorized the Qur'an. As a renowned qari, he took part in many qirat competitions all over the world. In Qur'an reciting, he won his first competition in 1969 in Malaysia. He joined Radio Pakistan in 1970, and the first program that he contributed was “Sar Chashma-e- Hidayat”.
