Abdul Razzak Yaqoob (ARY) was a wealthy Pakistani businessman based in Dubai. He was the owner of ARY Group of Companies.[2]His parents migrated from Surat, India to Karachi in 1944. He came to Dubai from Pakistan in 1969. In 1972 Yakoob established ARY and opened its first outlet in Fikri market Deira.
He also started importing watches, perfumes and cigarettes. Two years
later, when his brother, Mohammed Iqbal, joined him, the group branched
out into dealing with food and Textiles. Besides catering to the local
market, they also began exporting food-stuff to Iran. Yaqoob's current
business includes a Gold and Silver trading segment. Yaqoob is known to provide financial assistance to the Pakistani government in times of need.[3]Abdul Razzak Yaqoob is head of the World Memon Organization.[4]He died on 21st of February 2014.[1] He was ill since many days.
