Benazir Bhutto Road, alternatively known as Murree Road (Urdu: مری روڈ), is a major road that runs from Rawalpindi to Murree in Pakistan. It has been a hot spot for various political and social events. Nala Lai, famous for its floods, is located along the road in Rawalpindi. History describes Nala Lai water pure enough to do washing clothes but now it has become polluted with the waste water from all sources including factories and houses. Liaquat National Bagh (Park), famous as place for political gatherings as well as being the site of the assassinations of two former prime ministers and bystanders is also located along Murree Road.
On 22 May 2008 it was renamed Benazir Bhutto Road by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.[1] But people still call it Murree Road.
